2010 PRO BASS CHALLENGE TO CHANGE

The Pro Bass Challenge will make a change for the 2010 event, the format of Pro-Anglers and Co-Anglers will stay in tack, the time of year will change, we will be moving to the spring time, to maximize our participation and bring forth many new top competitiors who will be available to fish, stay tuned for all the upcoming updates.  Dates will be upcoming

This charitable Pro-Am event where Professional Anglers, Co-anglers and Celebrites  from the NFL, Major League Baseball,  and  coaches  is staged yearly as a pre- season fishing event that also raises money for the Pro Bass Challenge Foundation to  help with the restocking the Atchafalaya Basin.  Our Presenting Title Sponsor is Saturn of Baton Rouge A Gerry Lane Enterprise, in association with Ascension Marine, Jones Creek Cafe & Oyster Bar, Corporate sponsors are , Coca-Cola, Mockler Beverage Budweiser, Guraranty Broadcasting, ,  BRCVB, Republic National Distribution Company, Jameson Irish Whiskey, Turf-Scape, Borden Milk Products and a host of great  associate sponsors.                                             The popular catch and release fishing tournament which crowns a champion in the Professional Angler Division and in the Co-Angler Division  that  put's current and former NFL football players , Major League Baseball Players, as Co-Anglers, as well as our new format that will include amateurs from our area which is open to anyone over 18 years of age and in good standing with the Pro Bass Challenge,  while paired with local and national Professional Anglers   Live weigh-in's will be conducted at Saturn of Baton Rouge A Gerry Lane Enterprize.

This year the Pro Bass Challenge will be an  open event, no invites necessary. . The Champion in the  Pro-Angler Division will be fishing for $8500.00 cash.    The Top Co-Angler will be fishing  for $2000.00, plus other generious prizes from our sponsors. Saturn of Baton Rouge  will be the site of the daily weigh-in filmed live Saturday and Sunday for both local and national media groups. The excitement of professional bass fishing being brought into over 1 million homes per day is enough to keep anyone's focus.
